We're hoping to assess the proximity of two cell surface molecules, using
fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET). We have antibodies directly
conjugated to FITC and R.PE and would like to use them to answer the question,
using FRET.
There have been studies using the two as a donor and acceptor in the past via
the photobleaching method of FRET, but we would like to use the conventional
method of donor quenching. If you have any information on how to go about this
task, or know of any references where people have used these fluorophores with
this method I wolud be extremely grateful if you wolud contact me on my e-mail
address.
Thank you very much for your help,
Imad Nadra.
