Does anyone know of a way to capture the output of the Multigraph program in
such a way to import it into a spreadsheet. I've tried all common methods
(print to file programs, HiJaak, etc.) with no sucess as I think the
multigraph program is using non-standard PCL commands to print to the
printer (I've also tried switching to other printer types with no sucess).
Thanks to Fred Molnar of Coulter, I called and got Coulters ELITE 4.1
software which has an export function on their Multigraph analysis screen
which allows you to save dynamically "edited" changed gates and region
statistics as well as numerous other parameters to an ascii or DBF like file
which is easily put into a spreadsheet or database program (the Elite
software reads XL files directly). When this is done on a fast machine
with a large RAMDISK and a print spooler, the statistics can be saved and
hardcopy generated almost instantaneously for each panel. For most panels,
changing of the gates is not necessary, but the stats export is handy for my
purposes. I also understand that the "new" version of the XL software will
have a user selectable lymph gate statistic which should overcome the
problem of the hard programmed 95%.
