It seems that no matter which antibodies you choose for kappa/lambda, none
will identify all
monoclonal proliferations all the time. When I was at UNC, we generally
kept antibodies
from at least two different manufacturers on hand, just in case. We
generally had good luck
with DAKO's polyclonal anti-kappa and anti-lambda (both rabbit abs), both
FITC and PE
worked well. I recently heard that BDIS now has polyclonal anti-kappa and
anti-lambda
available, along with an appropriate background control.
