Commercialism of the Net

When I saw the original message on the net requesting information on high
speed sorting (prior to Mike Salmon's reply) I EMailed the individual
directly with details on the BDIS solution. The purpose of the direct
EMail was not to lock out anyone else from getting the information (I'd
love to tell all about it) but to keep this forum as non-commercial as
possible.

Brian's reply today was clearly a commercial plug for his company and
product. Quoting speeds, yield, drop frequencies, etc. is not, in my
opinion, the purpose of this mail list. The only thing he forgot was the
selling price with options.

I hope no one takes offense to my remarks, but I just couldn't just sit
back and allow this to happen. We flow cytometry providers have to stick
together and keep this as a non-commercial, useful mail list for our
customers use, not ours!
