I have a question on the specificity of CD9. There is a commercial kit for
the isolation of trophoblast from human placenta. According to the
information, the purity of the trophoblast is >95%. The basic principle is
to remove stromal cells by anti-CD9-immobilized affinity column. RBC's were
removed by hemolysis.
My question is the specificity of CD9. What kind of the subsets of
leucocytes expresses CD9? How about the expression of CD9 on cell surfaces
of nucleated and anucleated RBC in placenta? It is unlikely to see CD9 on
anucleated RBC, but I am aurous whether anybody has ever tested. Thanks.
