Thanks to those who responded to my request for info on the above. If
you're interested in the concept (an insurance policy against breakdown
rather than a service contract) contact Bob Calbert at CIC Agency, (800)
299-6242. He said they can normally save us about %30 of the cost of a
contract, and they write the policy to cover everything the service
contract does, including things like operator error (like coffee spilled on
keyboards etc.) When you break down they call the vendor (you deal with
the same service rep you have now) and they pay the bill. The scary
news is, for our 753 we have decided to go w/o a contract OR insurance for
the next year, so send your best wishes and spare parts to...
