I have played with a demo disk for a commercial program called
FreezerWorks which may be just what you are looking for. It seems
to be quite flexible, allowing for multiple freezers, refrigerators,
or any other storage location you designate. In addition to fields
for things like freezer, rack, shelf, box, vial, etc., it also has a
number of user customizable fields. There are quite a few other features,
but since I haven't actually used a working copy of the program, I can't
give a recommendation for or against. You may wnat to contact the
