Cytek info and bacteria

Hi folks,
As a followup to David Abbott's post, I would also be interested in the
experiences of anyone using the Cytek Absolute Count System, since I just
recommended that one of my users consider purchasing it! They're
interested in absolute counts per unit volume of bacteria, and that seemed
like the way to go--can anyone give me any more info? Thanks to Don
Evenson for the pointer to the bead method--I'll also check that one out.
Anyone compared the two, or have anything else to add?

On a related note, can anyone give me some tips on analyzing bacteria with
a 753 or Elite Analyzer? We haven't attempted anything yet, but the idea
is to label the strain of interest with an antibody, and I assume I might
have to gate on SSC or discriminate on the FITC fluorescence. Anyone
having any luck with these sub-micron particles?
