FYI - I suspect some have problems with the balrog.nci.nih.gov
server due to the probability that it does a 'finger' like reverse lookup on
the e-mail password used to login. If any nameserver hassle, etc., prevents
a 'good' user lookup, forget it. Our Unix ftp works fine with balrog.nci.nih.gov
where Mosaic access (ftp) does not. So, I added a zipped LDAD package to our
Cytometry Software WWW page:

balrog.nci.nih.gov is a MultiNet FTP Server (VMS), and seems a little fussy
at times.
