Color Printers suitable for use with Cell Quest

Dear list members

We are about to upgrade our FASCcan/HP340 system to the Mac platform. We
intended to get the laser printer option for regular output and separately
(from BD) acquire a color printer for those occasions when color is
necessary. The question: does anyone have experience with outputting
files from Cell Quest to printers other thab the HP 1200 and HP 1600. I
was told the printer would have to be ethernet connected at least and the
capability to add RAM to the printer was also desirable (?essential).
There are a number of cheaper color printers available that look attractive
- BUT is this approach just going to create headaches? Should I just take
the high road and buy the HP1600CM?

Thank you for considering this request. I look forward to the hearing of
your experiences (positive and negative).

warm regards
