To run a slideshow: 1. Using ftp, get a compressed EXE slideshow file from flowcyt.bio.umass.edu in /pub/flowcyt/slideshows. 2. Place the compressed EXE slideshow file by itself in an otherwise empty subdirectory on your PC. You will need about 3 megabytes of free disk space. 3. Run the compressed EXE file. It will self-extract into the individual slide files (also EXE) plus SHOW.BAT. 4. Run SHOW. 5. Optionally, run KILLSHOW to delete the uncompressed slideshow files, leaving only the compressed version (to save disk space between showings). SLIDESHOWS: WMDISHOW.EXE shows off the gorgeous graphics produced by Joe Trotter's WinMDI flow cytometry application.
