NEW STYLE, NEW VENUE, NEW EXHIBITION

Science meets Microscopy at MicroScience 2002 –

Europe’s Largest Microscopy Event

9-11 July 2002, ExCeL Conference & Exhibition Centre, London, UK

Put July 9th in your diary now because, for three days this Summer, microscope users will be flocking to the UK for MicroScience 2002, the European microscopy and in-situ analysis event of the year.

Held at the new purpose-built ExCeL Conference and Exhibition Centre in London, the re-formatted conference and exhibition brings together scientists and technicians from industry, life sciences, materials sciences, electronics, medicine, food and environmental technologies to listen to a wide array of lectures from globally acclaimed experts.  Supported by an extensive exhibition of the latest developments in microscopy, image processing, analysis, and related equipment from all the leading manufacturers, this exciting event also features tutorials, poster sessions and, new for 2002, a series of “hands on” technical workshops.

“This will be Europe’s largest and best supported microscopy event of the year," says Patrick Echlin, president of the Royal Microscopical Society, organisers of MicroScience 2002, “with scientific content carefully developed to include topics at the cutting edge of microscopy and covering a wide range of applications.  What’s more, the introduction of practical, industry-led workshop sessions will give delegates a unique opportunity for hands on experience with a wealth of new technologies and developments in their field.

“We have chosen ExCeL for the new venue as it reflects the quality and standing of MicroScience 2002.  Centrally located with excellent road, rail and air access, this world class, state-of-the-art centre is convenient for domestic and international visitors.”

Demand for places at MicroScience 2002 will be high, so anyone interested in attending this important event is advised to pre-register now on the dedicated website www.microscience2002.org.uk.
